While you are at the meet you will find our food concession to be reasonably priced and stocked with a variety of athletically appropriate food and drinks. We have many vendors on-site who are prepared to offer you all sorts of track & field praphenalia as well. There are also some fun activities to do for the younger athletes. Away from the track Widener University is located in Chester, PA between Wilmington, DE and Philadelphia, PA. There are many local restaurants (follow the link below to help locate some) including several fast food chains that are all within short driving distance of the Widener University campus. Widener University is located on the I-95 and Route 291 corridor, along which several reasonably priced hotels and motels are located. Most are within 10 - 15 minutes of the stadium by car. The Best Western Philadelphia Airport South - at Widener University will be serving as our host Hotel for the 2011 UAGTCA Youth Invitational. Our host hotel is located right on-campus, within walking distance of the stadium complex. Remember that you are also very near to downtown Philadelphia which boasts many fine restaurants and hotels that are only about 20-25 minutes away by car. A few other things to remember: This is the nation's birthplace. There are so many historical sites and locations that can be visited during your down time. The meet schedule is liberal enough to allow you to plan some leisure activities and the meet has historically been on schedule so there is no need to worry about missing your race. The downtown Philadelphia Hotels (follow the Hotel link below) have excellent weekend rates that will put you right in the middle of all of the downtown Philadelphia action for a great low price. For those who prefer the high rollers life we remind you that Harrah's Race Track & Casino is only 5 minutes away from the Stadium Complex and Philadelphia's two newest casinos the Sugarhouse and The Parx casinos are short drives north on I-95. Finally Atlantic City, NJ and their world famous Boardwalk is only an hour's drive away. Less we forget, we are not the only sports action in town. We can't forget that Philadelphia is home to the 'Philadelphia Phillies' major league baseball team with their historic Pitching rotation Chester is home to the 'Union' major league soccer team who will be right in the middle of their seasons. All in all there are a million things to do in and around the Delaware Valley and tri-state area. You'll have to come back year after year to see it all.
