What to Expect
The Delco Stallions
consist of a group of dedicated coaches and administration. We are 110% committed to our athletes. We
expect our athletes to be 110% committed to learning the sport of Track and
Field, having fun, and supporting their fellow teammates. Parent involvement is a must in achieving our
goals and striving to be the best. The
following is a list of things to expect in the upcoming season.
ü The team will be traveling to all meets. Some meets will be close to home, others will require over an hour’s worth of driving time.
ü The meets are All DAY Long. Depending on your child’s events, meets will last all day.
ü We do encourage, when possible for the entire team to stay until every Stallion has competed so we can give support.
ü There will be some meets that require overnight stays. In these situations we travel as a team and try to keep out-of-pocket cost to a minimum.
ü Athletes will need additional equipment. (spikes and team practice tees)
ü During the meets- athletes are restricted to a special diet until all of their events have been run. This requires Parent support. Until all events have been run, athletes are limited to water, Gatorade, fruit, salad, bagels, pretzels, nothing DAIRY (includes milk and cream cheese), nothing heavy (french fries, chicken, concession stand food), and NO SUGAR (includes water ice, ice cream, etc).
Parents keep in mind, the administration is willing to work
with anyone. However, we are not mind
readers, so if there is a problem, please come to one of us and we will try to
accommodate you. The number one thing to
remember is: WE ARE IN THIS FOR THE CHILDREN.
